I didnt get my receipt for AP and found the wac# from back of check *copy* which wasn't very clear. So just wanted to confirm it and called NCSC, the NCSC rep don't even have access to find out whether the case# belongs to me or not..

Just to read back, what was there online, they dont need a call-center rep. Jee, this system sucks big time!

Try this....

Fill out the
Fax Inquiry Form at the end of the CSC 2003 guidelines.

My EAD application also vanished from their DB. I got the number
from the check, just like you.

I sent a fax inquiry about why the case# is missing and I got
a fax reply in a few days (avoid giving a public-use FAX number
since it could get lost) confirming the existence of the application.

I had the same problem. I called the (949) number. Gave them my A# and they were able to figure out the WAC#.

It was for my EAD. After 4 months i got my reciept and 3 weeks after i got the receipt , i got my approval.

surprising you could call the INS 949 number. when i tried calling the 949 number, i get an error message mentioning that the number has changed and the new number is the 1-800 number.
