Hi guys, i have to re-done whole I-485 and i need layer in area Charlotte NC. Can you give me some recommendation, some good attorney or firm who can help me pull this stuff, please. Thank You all for help. I allready had all done (2009), i did work for a year legally.....then i could not show my imig. officer dropped charges from previous misdemeanor charge so she denied it. Im trying to get back on papers so.......i need help from pros. All paperwork 485, 130, 765.....i did on my own before, but this time i feel like i need help....thanks again.

What was the misdemeanor charge? And you said you weren't able to prove that the charges were dropped?

Sorry I have no lawyer info for you but was just interested in some of the other specifics.

Possesion of marijuhana less then 1/2 once. i got pref judgement. I was able to prove and show them that...... but i had some other charges dropped as part of settlement which i could not get ORIGINAL disposal warrants from federal archive building. state archive moved them to federal archive(after 3 months). I gave them COPY of disposal warrants which was not enough, they said they want originals. I did run out of time to get originals and thats why i was denied. last lawyer told me to just get done 485 again.
 
Oh because I'm in a similar situation. I was charged with possession with less than a gram and the charges were dropped and in the process on expungement. I was called for an interview before they approved my i485 because of that.

But that's good to know their are people out their that were still approved. Did you have to go to a similar interview?

i had more charges assults.......but droped. As long as u have disposal warrants originals u good. That weed ? i told her before about that on first interviw and she said its just mistrmeder so that was it. I worked whole year legaly with everything approoved, i had all done then i failed to prov her those assults charges were dropped by showing her originals certified, what i did was certified copies. My bad. Time 30 days ran out and im without papers. Need lawyer in Charlotte to pull it back.
 
Yeah my possession was marijuana also. Were did you have to go to get 'official' documents on the dropped charges?

All I honestly have that states that the charges were not prosecuted is the letter the District Courts sent me saying the case was 'nolle prosequi.'

go to county where it happened, my case was sheriff dept. and archive in my county. after certain years its in federal archive(where i did not go)....state keep 10 years serious thinks, 3 years like mine case and year dropped charges....then it goes to fed archive. Your case was not prosecuted u said so u good i guess, mine case is i plead guilty - prayer for judgment, so they wanna see whole court paperwork. in case of assult which was dropped imig wants to see disposal warrants - originals, not copies. once you submit all and you wrong with paperwork like i was they will give u 30 days to apeal their verdict with right paperwork and of course more fees to reaply.
 
i think, honestly and i might be wrong, the letter is not enough to them ever. they want certified paperwork and original, barely can go with certified copy for them. they want more then letter i think. all my certified copies were recertified by county clerk and resigned by judge and it was not enough to them, so think about that if u show up with letter........might worth it to hire someone to look at at. remember i did 130, 485, doctors, fingerprints 765 biometrics all that mess by myself and i end up on this final paperwork. ( couple thousands worth a mistake ) and now another 7 grand again to get me out of it.
