Naturalization questions

Hello All

It is nice to back here. I used to be a regular visitor and participant when my green card processing was going on. It is now time to start looking at naturalization. I do have some time to go but thought will get a heads up.

My I-485 was approved on 2/11/2005, interview and passport stamped on 2/28/2005, plastic card received end of May 2005.

1) I understand I can apply for my naturaliztion 90 days prior to 5 years (mine was employment based). If that's correct I presume I can apply on or after 11/14/2009. I will be applying 5-10 days after just to be safe but I wanted to check if my assumption is correct.

2) I have traveled a few times on vacation (two times - one was 5 weeks and another 4 weeks) and business (3 times each less than a week). I hope this time is not to be excluded when calculating the 5 year requrement. Another related question I will be traveling Mon-Thu on work for 6 weeks to Canada starting next January. Will that be an issue? The assignment may get extended starting Mar or Apr of next year and if that happens it will be for 6 months to a year. Will that pose a problem when I am ready to naturalize in Nov 09?

3) I have two minor traffic citations. I was not convicted either time. The first time I got an option to take a drivers test instead of getting a ticket which I did. The second time I was asked to go to the court, actually the 2nd time there were 2 citations including one was for having a wrong insurance card (I misplaced my car card with my wife's). I showed the correct insurance card in the court and the cop did not show up, so both the cases were dismissed. Is this a big issue when naturalizing? Should these traffic citations be disclosed even though they were never convicted?

4) I am a consultant and travel out of state frequently. My company calculates state taxes based on the location of my project instead of my home office or residential location. So I have filed quite a few non resident state taxes but a proper resident state tax based on my home address as well. I heard that if I declare I was a non resident on the N-400 there will be implications. Can somone provide some details on this and how to deal with this? I can get a letter from my company stating the reasons for this if that helps. The big question is should I declare I was a non resident (though I have not been a non resident of US) and if so, how to deal with it?

Any help is as always appreciated.

Your date above is confusing. What date was your green issued forgot about the stamp in your passport?

In my green card there was a date entitled "resident since". This was the date that I used to calculate 90 day back rule.
