Naturalization in Kansas City

Hello,
I'm new in here and I was wondering if somebody could help me with a few questions.

I'm a US resident and I'm going to apply to become a citizen in November. The only problem I have right now is that I moved and I've lived in KC for 1 1/2 month.

I'm applying for citizenship, mainly for my mother and brother who live in LatinAmerica and I've seen 3 times in 11 years.

Could somebody tell me about how long it would take me to become a citizen and how long after that it would take for me to be able to bring my mother and brother (for them to get their green card or to visit).

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

I looked into sponsoring the immigration of my bother .... and found out that it would take somewhere around 12 years after you applied. I know from a Mexican friend who could petition for his parents in a matter of months after receiving his citizenship. If your brother would be under 21 he may immigrate with your parents as a dependant, I believe.

I guess so, I am sorry. He probably will be able to retire here ...smile. He may have better chances in the 'greencard lottery'. I met quite a few people who got into the U.S. that way (surprisingly). Or maybe he has a certain job that qualifies him for some status ... or he might be really good looking and melt the heards of some single U.S. women ! I imagine that Antonio Banderas would not have to wait longer than a weekend walking up and down the Country Plaza.
