I was checking the DHS site yesterday and came up across the immigration year book link.
It contains statstical tables regarding Naturalization and Permenant Residents.

For examlple..
http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/statistics/publications/YrBk06Na.shtm
http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statistics/publications/Natz_01_Sec508Compliant.pdf

Both links show stats regarding naturalization specially http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statistics/yearbook/2006/Table22.xls which contains naturalization by state..
I checked the data for the states processing through Nebraska..
In 2006, the states processing in Nebraska accounted for 15% of the overall naturalized people in the USA.

The following links deal with LPR..

http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statistics/publications/IS-4496_LPRFlowReport_04vaccessible.pdf
http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/statistics/publications/LPR06.shtm

Table http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statistics/yearbook/2006/table04.xls shows LPR by state. Once again, the states processing through nebraska accounted for 16% of the overall LPRs in the USA in 2006.

Stats are shown for all years from 1997 till 2006.

Illinois is the state with most apps for Nebraska center of course..

It gives an idea on why midwest apps process faster usually..

Conclusion is that typical new citizen is 37 years old male from Mexico naturalized in California.
