Nationality of Pending Name check victims

I'm trying to find a reason why I'm stuck in the Name check process. I keep on thinking it's because of my arabic first and last name. do you guys know if there is a link between your nationality and the odds of getting stuck in a Name Check? do you know what nationality is the most affected?

I couldn't find in the other threads any post that talks about numbers and percentages. so I'm thinking if we gather some data we might be able to find a pattern or a reason for this whole Name check business.

what do you guys think? I'm thinking of something like this

I can't say i was really stucked on my name check. i just think the interview officer did not do her job to submit the name check internally prior the interview. Oh well, i really do not know when they should suppose to submit the name check internally anyway.

by the way, what is the purpose of this thread? i am sure they do racial profiling but you might need to have some really good evidence to proof.

I've applied for CZ in June 2004, got interviewed on August 1st 2005. when I asked about when the name check gets initiated, the interviewing officer told me it's done when they receive the application. so I'm assuming my Name check has been pending since June 2004.

there is no one real purpose of this thread but I beleive they are doing more Name checks on Arabs since all of the terrorists were arabs on september 11 and it's done on other nationalities just so they cover their asses in front of the medias/laws. (Just speculating here)
