Everybody, I called my senator from Georgia and urged him to support the act.
You can do the same thing. Today is a national calling day. Your two minutes can make a difference

On September 21, our coalition partner, the New American Opportunity Campaign, is
holding a National Lobby Day in Washington, DC, in support of the Secure America and
Orderly Immigration Act (S. 1033/H.R. 2330). Please contact jsorenson@aila.org if you
will be coming to Washington on that day. If you can’t be in Washington, you can add your
voice to this effort by participating in a national call-in day. The more calls we make, the
more momentum we will build for positive immigration reform!
Contacting Your Elected Representatives Is Easy!
1. Call your Senators and Representative using the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 202-224-
3121. Urge them to support the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act. Our
immigration system is broken and this bill offers a realistic solution to a serious
problem because it would:
• Match willing workers with willing employers;
• Offer people already here the opportunity to earn their way to a permanent legal
status by working, paying taxes, and learning English;
• Reunite close family members, some of whom have been separated for twenty
years; and
• Enhance security by bringing millions of hard-working, tax-paying individuals out of
the shadows and enabling enforcement resources to focus on those who mean us
harm.
For more, please see http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=10146.
2. Write a letter to your Senators and Representative. We have drafted a model letter for
you to send, but it makes a world of difference if you personalize the letter with even
just a few lines describing your practice, the people you represent, or why this is an
important issue to you. Just follow this link:

3. Write the President and urge him to support this bill:

Remember, making your voices heard on Capitol Hill will positively impact
your clients and your practice.
