Folks, does someone have experience with Naperville, IL facility for Finger Printing.

I wonder if i can do walk in ? Which date is good ? Should I give a risen for early walk in FP ?

I went there for my FP in Aug '09 but there is nothing much to write about it. You take your FP notice, driver's license and also your GC, show it, fill the form and wait for your turn, finish the process, take the notice back with a stamp on it saying that you gave FP's. That's it. As for the issue of going early than the appointed date, that's an individual decision but I suggest not doing it. We have seen cases where early FP's leading to early interview (before 5 yr. GC anniversary) and no decision taken at the time of interview. Why all that confusion?

do they need DL ? the notice says, the GC card only for naturalization applicants ?

i have old address ...on DL...i was going to change it before interview. I recall, we used the same DL at the same FP...was no issue

They saw my driver's license and GC. You can take passport in place of DL. I think they need two forms of ID. GC is one of them.

got it. thanks. Notice does not say so (it says one form of identification as GC for naturalization, other applicants should bring passport/etc)...but I will have it with me...to be on a safe side...

I tried an early FP there because I'd be out of town on the FP date, but they refused saying I can come any day AFTER the FP date. I didn't argue with them, but you could try and be more persistent. There's hardly anyone in the office, and I thought if they wanted, they could've easily accommodated me.

anyone had a luck with the other Chicago land FP location for early walk in...( i really need to get this done early...due to expected travel...)..

I wonder if i can i do it at the other location ? as far, FBI is concerned...they are getting their data

FP scheduled on 2 different dates

Got my FP notice. They have scheduled FP for me and my wife on two different dates (10/23 and 10/24)... That sucks since we have to go to Naperville,IL FP center twice... However one is on a Saturday.. so i guess its ok..

If you live far away, then you can ask them on the 23rd if they'll allow you to do the other fingerprint as well, rather than making you come back the next day. There's no harm in trying, and if you put up a convincing case they might relent.
