Can anyone on the forum please explain what is NameCheck and how long it takes? How to find the status? What applications other than 485 need the NameCheck?

Google for FBI NNCP and you'll see a good amount of information.
Your PD is 1997???!!! Wow.
When did the LC get approved? There seems a big hiatus between the LC and 140.
The NC can take between a few days to 5 yrs, going by the past. However, they have made some changes and it's not that bad any more and they're trying to get it all done fast. Read all about it!! Read all about it!! Google it! Google it!
If your case, only 485 is impacted by the NC.

How many genuine cases really benefit when thousands suffer from sub clause ?
