Dear All:

I would like to very happily inform you that I have received the letter from FBI ( Mr. Micheal Cannon ) that My Name check has been cleared on July 30th 2007 and the results have been forwarded to USCIS headquarters, Washington , DC.

I am one of the most depressed member in this group and I have stopped posting anyting here as soon as I learnt that my name check has been pending almost a year ago. Though I have been in this country since 2000 and I have priority date of 2000 - I lost all my hope because I got into the hole of Namecheck.

I have been reading horror stories in this site and Name check Yahoo group as well , How long some of the GC aspirants have been waiting with No luck.

I have tried sending letters to almost all the people like FL , VP, and FBI director etc. Only FBI responded related to in July 1st week that It is in Process. I lost my Hope again.

In the meantime, because this name check has been the only problem that was dragging for long time - I started to going to church and pray exclusively for this Name check and getting mY green Card. Most of my friends have the Green Card and also whoever has applied with me have green card now. Sometime It was getting difficult for me to disclose to my friends that I have not got my Green Card and I have been in the GC process for almost 8 years.

I have started reading bible everyday and started praying to My Lord Jesus Christ everyday exclusively for the GC process. I have lost hope in everything and stopped calling TSC or Infopass or sending letter because I know many of my friends sent lot of letters but pending in Name check. I belived only in God , and I trusted my God that he will do a miracle one day or other.

Last couple of Weeks I had a very peace of mind and each night when I pray in the last few days , I was under the feeling that My God is doing something for me. And today I got this letter.

Let me tell you , I think I am little bit more happy than our friends who were recently getting their GCs. Because My God will Lead my rest of the GC process and will get my Card very soon.

Let me tell you Folks, at some point in time - I think in this world everything and everyone will have a chance to learn that God is our Only Hope as He created us.

Please dont misunderstand me regarding the religious words here - But I know how much trouble , My God pushed back it for me.

Once I went to meet lawyer for filing a WOM - I had to leave that place right away as he was saying 6000$ for the process and we stand only 5% chance to win. I had to pay 250$ for just 10 minutes consulting with me. And also I know few friends from the yahoo forum on how much suffering they go thru. Also now see the flood of 485 and citizenship applications going in , that would make our life very bad who has been waiting in namecheck as there is no FIFO in FBI namecheck.

But My God gave everything for free --- No consulting fee.

please help me out about model letter
Hi hello my friends
I called TSC on today primary applicant name check (NC) it is pending
I don't know what happened last month when I called NC i s cleared and when I went to Infopass appt they said its cleared in last year in march..
but today I got different answer..
will they request twice or once...
please give your opinions
also if any body know how to write the letter to FL ... and including matter..
example..
it's really helpfull and appreciates.

In Nutshell: science presupposes naturalism so you cannot 'use' science to prove God. The issue is presupposition!

Do you know how matter+energy+time came into existance from nothing? It should have come by the One who is not material or force or time bound. That is simply God!
 
I agree this is not right forum to discuss this and the debate is endless. I just naturally react when Jesus/God is credited so much for routine stuff, as if "he" is micro managing the mundane life of infinitely insignificant creatures. We humans really feel like we are very special and the center of universe..what megalomaniacs we are!

Anyway, good luck in believing that the world is only, what, 4000/6000 years old. And pity that all the billions of non-Christians are going to hell (as per the religion and confirmed by da Pope)

No He is not micro managing (gave us the free-will) but We christians thank God for some thing happend beyond our control. Do you have a problem with that?

Again, It shows your ignorance on Christian Faith. Bible neither says that the earth is 6000 years old nor Follow the pope.

Well Genesis does point to earth's age unless you don't believe in it (and Adam and Eve and the apple). That is selectively picking parts of the books which are convenient.

And I agree that not all Christians believe in the Pope but the point is that if such a "learned" figurehead of a billion catholics can believe that, surely there is a lot of hokey-pokey going around or else the other non-Catholics, non-Christians must be wrong. Btw, if you think Catholics are fundamentally wrong about Christianity (you didn't say that but assuming), the same is being felt about you by so many other humans.

Isn't it just easier to believe in rational things which time and again have proven to work consistently rather than medieval religions (like health sciences rather than prayers)! And thanking someone, anyone, for some event in life is slightly more harmless than crediting And believing that someone for making it happen. If I thank my house plants that I got a promotion at my job, it will only categorize me as a loony but praying to it and believing it for making it happen...that is "dangerous" since it makes me an irrational person blinded by make-believe powers instead of doing what it takes to get a promotion.
 
Pending Name Check

Exactly Same thing happend to me
I called last month and they told me that Name check is cleared.
Last the one lady asked my A# and told me that Name check is pending ..
I dont know what's going on at TSC...

Interesting discussion on religion, matter, universe. My suggestion will be that we dont get offended by these remarks and more importantly we should not be making any remarks on beliefs of our fellow travellers on their journey to the endless GC Jathura.

So JesueIsMyLord Sir, please let us know how you belled the FBI CAT. We would like to use that trick too. Those gentlemen are holding key to my GC approval since Feb 17th 2005. If they hold on to it a little longer I may have a guinnes book entry on my name for the slowest namecheck

I am also contemplating using services and blessings of my dear Hanuman Ji in this matter. Just that he is not very responsive lately. I think he is getting influenced by the habits of folks in DMV, FBI, DHS, USCIS, Medicare program etc
 
Pls guys this forum is for exchanging information and strategies for immigration matters.

If some one starts preaching and goes on a rant about religion he is going to get some responce from people who dont share his faith.

Let us be tolerant of each others beliefs and also not burden others with our religious exuberance.

BTW, I may have pissed off a lot of readers here who are deeply religious. Sorry for that but I am on a journey of rational (some call it atheistic) living and if hell awaits me, so be it. If there is a God, "he" will probably accept me for I stood up to superstitions and used the wonderful brain he has given me...if not, I will just probably rot in there for eternity for being otherwise a good person but not praying to this egoistic god and pity at the cruelty of it all.

If there is no god, which I suspect, then I would've lived a beautiful life without wasting my time and energy conforming to the customs and beliefs of people born in the age of darkness (when science hadn't emerged and people still believed that the earth is flat and is the center of the universe). It has been an interesting life till now and I thank this country for exposing to me the irrationality of the various religions and backgrounds of people living together here and the sheer number of CONFLICTING and completely irrational things people come to believe just by being born to a certain set of parents. Oops, pissed off some more ppl there, didnt I ;)

Atheists are not rational...I don't know the rationality behind the 'belief' that the "Universe popped into existance from nothing" and "Life arisen from lifeless chemicals"

I sure enjoyed going through and reading the link you provided. As a scientist and physician with years of experience in science and medicine, I agree that millions of people (many of us) undergo extreme misery in their lifetime. The amputee example that your website is seemed to be so fond of is actually nothing compared to millions more suffering cancers, AIDS, neurodegenerative diseases, etc, etc. That’s still the bright site: What about all those innocent victims of genocides and meaningless wars throughout the history? What about Jews in Auschwitz (or later on, Arab refugees)? What about those in Liberia, Rwanda, or Sudan? What about the victims of “cultural” revolution in China? It was just the anniversary of Pakistan independence a few days ago… What about hundred thousand (if not millions) Hindus and Muslims who died during those violent days? The list goes on forever… Obviously (or so it seems), many of those who perished through unimaginable and gruesome ways believed in God in their own ways, and prayed to him, and their prayers went unanswered.

We are entitled to think freely and believe whatever we want. I believe in God and my years of experience in science (and life) have just made me believe more and more. I think he created this world and set up the laws to govern it (one of the most important one perhaps: the probability). What is the chance for a prehistoric marine creature to develop a limb with all the intricate musculoskeletal, vascular and neural organization to be able to assist him in walking on ground? (Don’t forget that unless the developing limb is functional, it doesn’t provide much evolutionary benefit for the natural selection to preserve it) Well, pretty low. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely. Yet, we know that it happened. Does it mean that God came down to the sea, and pointed his finger toward the creature, and bingo, here cometh the limb? No, he was smarter than that. He created the rules and let them play, and whenever necessary, let it happen. You toss a fair coin and it may go head or tail 50:50. God can do it and have head 100 times in a row. Is that impossible? Absolutely not, but the chances of that happening for us is, well, 1 in 1.2 times 10 to power 30… Einstein once said “God does not play dice with universe” Well, I think he does and he is a heck of a damn good player!

Now back to the amputee example, and why doesn’t God heal the poor fellow. Well, I don’t know the answer to that, but I know with my years of experience that there is a lot that we don’t know about this universe or our own life. I have been buying 1$ mega million tickets once a week for the past 4-5 years and in spite of relentless (!) prayers, never have won a dime. Damn it! God, are you listening?! Well, you might have seen that Jim Carrey movie that showed what would happen if God was that kind and gentle to answer all lotto-related prayers…

Years ago, when I was a kid, I used to pray to God in cold winter days for snow. I prayed to him for lots of snow to make the school closed. Years went on and I became a commuter to work, and no matter how much snow it fell, I had to make it to my workplace. The tide turned and then, I started praying to God for stopping the snow falls. Obviously I wasn't alone. Every day, many kids were praying for the snow to fall while many commuters were praying for it to stop. Poor God! To whom should he listen? Whatever he does, some will be angry. It's impossible to satisfy all I guess...

And the last thing I want to tell you is perhaps you shouldn’t try to judge everything by your own standards. An amputee might seem very miserable to you, but he/she might be happier than most of us who are in (almost) perfect health and take it for granted. The amputee may pray to God to heal him, and God may say to him “My child, I will not, but I give you something even better!” (Remember Paul and his prayers to God to heal him of his thorn?).

We look at the world around us with our limited tools (eyes and ears that cannot see or hear the souls) and try to decipher and judge everything with our limited wisdom. How do you know that we are happier or better-off than the amputee, or the AIDS infected Africans, or the refugees? We in the US (and the western world) enjoy more wealth than the rest of the world, but we are not the happiest… In fact, the happiest nation in the world is indeed located in poor Africa:

Didn’t many of us (take Anna Nicole Smith for example) have all the wealth and fame one could have ever asked for, and yet, died in misery and grief? Who are we to judge who is happy and who is not in the heart? We simply can’t and here is the answer to your logic: Your child may ask you to let him watch TV, but you say no and take him to a park and play with him for hours and have lots of fun. Well, at first he might become sad and cry but soon he will be much more happier and satisfied. You simply give him something better.
