Name on the passport

My wife\'s passport still has her maiden name where as the EAD card she received has her married name. Now when she goes for FP, is it OK to show
her passport and the marriage certificate or do we have to get the name changed on the passport before going for FP?

BTW FP is scheduled at Newark.

Any suggestions/inputs are welcome

In my opinion, the best thing to do is to go down to your country\'s consulate and get the name changed on the passport. You will have to do that sooner or later any way.

If you are from India, It will cost you about $20 and a visit to the nearest consulate. They will stamp your wife\'s passport showing that her name was changed upon marriage.

For FP it may not matter. Take your marriage certificate with you and explain if they have any questions.
