name misspelt on H-1..Will it affect I140 filing?

Hi guys,

My name was misspelt on my H-1 approval notice.Even though i didn't have any middle initial,they put a middle initial.My labor was cleared few days back and am planning to apply for I-140 and I-485 concurrently..?Will this affect them in anyway..?Can I go ahead and apply for them?My lawyer says that he will put in a amendment notice to BCIS today.

One of my friends had a similar error with his name on H1b paper. He was afraid to travel with that document. His lawyer applied for the correction with INS. He got a new H1b paper with the right spelling. I don't see it as a big issue. As well know and INS also should know that they often do this kind of mistake on the papers. After all it is not your fault. But I would suggest... you should take your precaution.
 
Thanks for replying.But in the meantime can I go ahead with the filing of I140 and I1485? Will there be any issues?
