Name misspelled on I-765 receipt notice

What to do? I already sent a letter to INS, but it is almost certain that they will issue an EAD before they even open/process my letter. Should I call the INS and is it the only way? Can the local INS do something?

I think it is nonsense that if I apply for a replacement EAD due to name error, I still need to file an I-765 application and pay the fee. After all it was their sloppiness that made my life not a life.

You have to wait

I have got mistakes on the EAD card. I sent I-765, a letter explaing problem, two photos, fee of 100 dollars(this might be increased now), and I marked the checkbox for reissue because of errors. Check the application, there will be a check box for that. So you just have to wait till you receive your card and then do this.
