Name mismatch (Passport/Visa Stamp) vs I-797

Hi,

I got my visa stamped recently. But there is issue due to name mismatch between approval notice and passport/stamp

My name in I-797-
Surname - YYY
First name - XXX

But
As per passport -
Surname - XXX YYY
Given Name - .....

As per Visa Stamp -
Surname - XXX YYY
First Name - FNU

Now if anyone faced similar issue please advice what needs to be done at port of entry. Like how to explain this mismatch.
And what precautions I should take at the time of filling form for I-94.

Last time when I visited US on previous stamp -
The name is Approval notice and VISA stamp was same -
Surname - YYY
First Name - XXX
(That time passport was having problem. Passport was XXX YYY as surname).

However, I filled everything with First name as XXX and sirname as YYY.

So my SSN, Bank AC and DL are all with First Name XXX and Surname as YYY. I guess that would not be an issue.

However, at the Port of Entry how to justify the difference in petition approval name and stamped VISA name.

Also if I write name as in my SSN etc, then how to justify that with difference with the VISA Stamp.

I am not sure if you will really get into trouble but that happens to quite a few of us.

I too have a name issue with my PP. My name in PP is XXX (no surname). My Social Security name is XXX, XXX (They just copied the first name to the last name. I use the same name everywhere bank/work/...) The name on my latest I-797 is XXX, LNU

Thanks

So while filling in I-94 which name i should use -

The name as in latest VISA stamp and Passport? (XXX YYY, FNU)
or
The name as in I-797/SSN/DL? (YYY, XXX)

Also in case at POE the officer asks, how should i justify this? If anyone has experience of such name mismatch between Stamp and I-797 (I-20 etc..).

Regards.
