Name Correction. Please read

Name correction recently, Please read.
My name has been in wrong format on immi. docs: last name appears as first name and vice versa. Now I want to correct it before I get the
stamp in Passport and card. Applied for 485.

Can any one please reply with the procedure to do that.
Any info is highly appreciated.

Write to the service center and ask them to make the necessary changes. That should resolve the problem, especially if it is typo and nothing more serious!

Actually, I had this problem. I spoke to IIO,VSC and it was corrected on the computer. I sent another letter with affidavit and corrected my name in their records. infact, they corrected my EAD card and sent it back with new one. If you want any info on this

I had my last name printed wrongly on my approval notice. I was able to get my passport stamped by furnishing necessary docs. Please see my previous postings on this board.
