Hello,
I just got my H1-B approved. I was on H4 before and I received my H-1B approval just last week.
On the approval notice (I-797), my first name and middle name are swapped
For example, my name is Suma Latha and my name is written as Latha S.
Last name is given correct.
Today I went to Social Security administration office and they said they can not give me SSN because my name is incorrect in I-797 and that
needs to be corrected.
Does any one know what to do in this situation? Do you know how long would it take to get the name corrected?
