name correction after approval

I got approval notice for my wife but INS misspelt her first name. I sent documents to INS to correct it before. Also we corrected the name at the time of fingerprinting ( in the local INS office). But still INS did not correct her name in their records. I dont' want her green card to get that name.

Do anyone has similar experience? can i correct her name while stamping?
