Name Clearance

Hello Guys
When I contacted USCIS I came to know that my name check is not clear yet. I did my FP Nov 2004. Anybody knows when USCIS request for name clearance from FBI? ( My guess is that when we do FP, name clearance is also requested ). How to resolve this?
