I filed for the green card under the religious worker visa. Priority date is current. I had the interview since April 2006. The IO was ready to approve us but said they are still waiting for the results of the name check. Several Info Pass meetings etc have not changed the situation. Does any one know if this is peculiar to Religious worker visaand what is the correlation between my priority date and the time of approval of the Green Card ?

Name check is same for everbody, sometimes it takes weeks/months for some.
And sometimes it takes years.
