Name check !!!

Hi All,
Recently I have been seeing numerous messages on NAME CHECK. I am really curious to know about what triggers this.
1) Does this happen based on Nationality/Religion etc ?
2) Does it happen for more common names or rare common names ?
3) Does this happen because of 'changing of residence' more frequently?

I will really appreciate ur views on this.

It's all a mystery. The USCIS feeds your personal info (first, middle, last names, date of birth, social security number, maybe your residence and employment info) to the FBI. It gets run through a big computer. If you come out "clean" then 48 to 72 hours later, the USCIS restarts your processing. If your name has one or more "hits", then you get stuck in a pile that someone will eventually pick up and manually verify your situation. This can last months or years.

Lots of folks have conspiracy theories (oh, muslim names are worse, or chinese names are worse), but it's pretty much a lottery. Personally I think common names (e.g., John, Mohammed, Lee) are worse, but, I have no idea.
