Hi,

How to know whether name check process has started or not? I filed concurrently 140 and 485 at VSC during sep. 05
My I=140 got approved on Feb 28, 2006. Should wait for the pd become current. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Have you had your fingerprints taken yet? I'm pretty sure they initiate the name check at that time because when you fill out the form, it asks for all prior names. The lady at the desk was very specific, she said if your name is "David Smith", they also run "Dave Smith".
