My name check got cleared but my wife's has not been cleared yet. Here last name is quite unique and no one else in the US holds the same last name. Talked to the Sentor's office but they said that they can do nothing about name check. Any feedback or comments will be appreciated?
 
They cannot do anything about it!!

I have tried it through the Senator, congressman and also written letters to FBI, without luck. My namecheck is pending now for a little less than 2 years.

After a full two years of your name check pending, I would seriously think about suing the USCIS. I have a feeling that my case is also pending because of namecheck and I have a rock solid case against the USCIS. As soon as my PD becomes current, I intend on starting inquiries and if the USCIS states that my case is pending secutiry clearance then I shall start the process. I have been saving up a lot of threads where people have successfully sued the USCIS. If you are interested in those let me know and I will send links over to you.

I can't believe they are making innocent immigrants suffer because of their ridiculous security procedures. If only they put in this much effort into catching actual criminals.

I am also thinking about this, if I am still stuck in Namecheck once my PD become current.

Folks,
I am thinking about this also... I will wait about 6 more months since my files are now in local office in MD, and I am inbetween jobs and will complete my move to TX sometime in June, then I will change the address with INS.
Then I plan to sue them, if not approved by that time...
So keep me informed about your cases update...
 
I am another victim

Today I had an infopass with the local office. I am so much disappointed to hear that my name check is not cleard. I was happily waiting for my PD to become current in march visa bulletin. Now this comes, and I lost all the hopes.

I have not contacted my senetor or anyone regarding this. Please provide me some info to contact FBI and I will try.

yes, they can see the status of the file like the officers at the service center. To me they said I am still stuck in name check.

Hi,

Looking at id you can say that my priority data is current. My file is with local office. I had been interviewed in oct. I went with infopass on 1st hoping to get my GC.The officer said that there was a duplicate name found with my name and FBI is still enquiring. God knows How long will it take.

I am in the same "shoes" Could you send me some more info about it? How much is the cost to sue them? What happen if I loose the case??? Any help would be really appreciate it.
