Name check is only one time process or FBI will do the name check every time we give finger print. I gave my 1st FP in May 2004 and 2nd (bio-code2) in 08/13/2005.

Just a one-time shot. Fingerprint check involves in criminal background check, which is required each time you take a fingerprint. It can normally be cleared in 1-2 days.
 
Name check is not related to FP ... take in my case my name check was cleared on 31st July 2003 ... where as my first FP was taken on APril 2004 .. so obviously they finished my name check even before they got my Finger prints .
