Name Check - When is it sent

Hi,

does anyone know when the name check request is sent to the FBI. I thought the name check request was sent right after filing the 485 - but my request was sent in July 2005 (after my FP) when I field my 485 in Sept 2004. Does anyone have the same experience???

I just spoke to somene in Sen. Kennedy's office. They said they can do a name check inquiry only if my name check is pending for more than 2 years. So they expect me to wait for another 7 months on this check.

Not sure what I can do. Maybe WOM is the only option left. But I would certainly like to see when others had their name check request sent i.e. right after they filed their 485 or after about 7-8 months after they have filed

As far as I know that the name check request is submitted to FBI within 2 weeks of 485 received date

In my case one week .

They recived my 485 application on June 21 2004 and NC insiated on 28 June 2004.
