Name check (when do they search)

hey,

when do uscis send your name to the fbi to begin the name check procedure. i was told it was after the fingerprinting was done but in reading the literature on the site it seems that it is unrelated to finger prints?

Do they send the name to the fbi shortly after they recieve the application or petition?
 
seems like that. I heard the same thing on visajourney. An applicant was told that the issue namechek way b4 FP, after your app is received. it's got no relation with FP dates.
 
I would like to know myself. My name is not all that common... but who knows how long it will take... the only associated people with my name are latin "reggeaton" singers... ewww..
