name check question

with new june visa bulleting clearing some hurdles i want to make sure that i am ready for adjudication so i have a question regarding name check...

my wife and i had email from fbi in response to our query for name check clearance (this was way back in 2004..i think they dont that now) stating that it was cleared...now my question is with vsc to tsc transfer or with so many years gone by do i have to worry about name check?? do they re-submit for name check?? how do i find my status...??

According to USCIS cleared namecheck is valid indefinite for the application it was requested for and valid for 15 months for any other application.


What email address did you use? and how soon did you get reply?
 
This is wrong, as per Immigration officer they can initiate Namecheck once again after 15 months

i took infopass last month and asked about my information, He told me they initiated twice regarding my case

first i applied my 485 in Sept 2004, got my 485 denied due to employer fruad in sept 2005, then once again applied with another Labor in July 2006
and they initiated my namecheck in Feb 2007:confused: :confused: :(

It is valid indefinite for the original application that it was requested for. It seems like you have applied twice (I-485) and hence two namechecks. You first namecheck was valid indefinite for the first 1-485 (which was denied) and only for 15 months for any other application from the time it was cleared. The officer was correct that they will initiate a second NC for you after 15 months.
