Name Check Question

Name Check Done. What is pending?

All these days I was thinking Name Check is a lenghty process and I thought it is done after finger printing. I had sent an email to FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov asking for my name Check status on Oct 7, 2004. Today I got a reply for it.

Apparently my Name Check ws done before my FP. I want to know what else is remaining?


Here is the reply from FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov:

Dear Mr. LastName,

I am responding to your e-mail dated October 7, 2004, requesting status for an FBI Name Check.

A review of the FBI's Name Check Program database concerning FirstName Lastname revealed a request was received from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on August 24, 2004 and finalized also on August 24, 2004. The results were forwarded to USCIS.

How long did you wait to get an answer from FBI?

In your case, you don't have name check issue. You should only need to wait USCIS to touch your case. If your case is EB3, you have to wait longer due to visa regression.
