Name Check Question

At what stage will CSIS request a name check from FBI? My 485 RD is Feb 2003 and I knew from FBI that my name check was completed in Nov 2003. Does that mean the name check for my 485 has completed and my case won't be stuck at name check?

How did you find out they put a name check on you ?
Did everyone have to go thru it ? or only certain individuals ?
Did your online status say so ?

I just sent a fax to FBI asking whether my name check was completed. They got back to me a few weeks later saying that my name check was performed last Nov and the results had been sent back to BCIS.

By the way, my online status never changed since the first day they received my application.

May be you got the answer for your finger print result but not for the name check...thats another process...

I don't think so. My FP was done in early June, 2003. I called FBI a week after my FP and a lady told me that my FP was completed and sent back to BCIS.
