Name check pending :sent e-mails to Senators, no one replied yet

All,
How long would it take normally to receive a reply from senator's office that they got one's request. I have filled in the request on Web and sent the request to the local senators. No one replied yet. I aam bit skeptic whether the Web site delivered the e-mail or not.
Please suggest next course of action.

It took me 3 weeks for one and 6 for the other. I atually also e-mailed the Governor who got one Senator to get back to me. Also try Congressmen. Since immigration is a hot topic right now in Washington you should get some responses and assistance.
