Name check pending , How Long??

I dont think it is correct to say that 37% cases are pending more than 1 year.. Because the people who gets cleared sooner will not even take this poll.. so we cannot say how much percentage got cleared in 6 months or less than 1 year based on this poll..
 
How would I know ?

:confused: My PD is Sept23 2002 (EB3 India) and I applied for I-485 in April 2004 (When PDs are current..but now of course retrogressed).
My question is - How do I know if my name check is cleared or not ?

Where can we check to see if our name check is "cleared".

Gurus, Please advise.

My lawyer is useless except making mistakes. I contacted my district congressman and his assistant really helped.
 
take infopass and find out or call USCIS and find out

I am not taking about htis voting. I am taking geanrally. Page 24 end of the page.

I need to corret my self it 35 % more than a year waiting for Name check upto end of 2005.

P.S. Sorry to ask some basic questions here, but again I have been told over and over assuring "there is no stupid question" in all those meetings where company pours tons of money into to emphasize how cost-cuttings are important to the company.

Thanks for all the info USCIS!

I guess there could be more than 50 people, but a lot of people wouldn't care to check what's going on with their application because of the reason that their PD is not current. As long as your dates are not current it doesn't matter if you're stuck in name check fiasco.

I originally thought you would get an email or snail mail from USCIS if your name check is being done.

 
Sorry about my ignorance. However, what is name check? Why is it needed? Could anyone please explain? Does that mean it could take up to 3 years after PD becoming current?

Finger Printing and Name check will starts after Filing 485 . This is automatically.
