Name check & Finger Print

Hi,
Can some one pls tell me if name check is done everytime finger print is done.
I have filled my 140/485 in march 2004 and did 1st FP in may 2004 and got cleared in few days.
I got 2nd FP with biometrtic code 3 in june 06 and had LUD next day.

I don't know anything about my name check status.

My question is name check will be done everytime FP is done ??

My PD is Apr 16 2001 and EB3.

I am stuck in a similar situation.
EB3: PD Nov 2000 (Current since March' 06)
I-140 approved last week after 2 yrs.
I-485 still pending.

First FP: Oct 2004
Expired: Jan '06
Name check cleared long back. Heard from the Congressman that the FP's expired and will get a notice for FP's.

I also need to know if the whole Namecheck process starts again with the new FP's.

If your PD is current, you should call the Service Center and see why your case has not been processed. If they are just waiting for new FP, they can send out a new appt to you soon.
 
criminal record check

I have applied for criminal record check recently for my canada immigration. The result was "no arrest record found".

I am not sure if this is same as "No Record Found"? Are this both "no arrest record found" and "no record found" same?

I don't think I would compare the name check or arrest record for Canada with that of the US. I have no idea if the two mean the same or not.
