I am in the mid of confusion if my I 485 application is stuck in NC?, last month I did a service request as my 2 nd FP is going to expire soon, since PD is going to get current next month I wanted to be pro-active in getting FP done. I received a response from service center dated June 22, which state that my application is not adjudicated even though its outside processing time because the required background security check is still pending.The strange part is that there is typo in my name in the response letter, additionally my PD was not current when I made service request and there is no response about my 3rd FP in the letter(a total disconnectivity regarding my original service request). I changed my residence twice in the past two years, during my first change of residence in 2006, I received a letter confirming my address change with a note that my back ground security check is pending, after I changed my residence second time recently I received an email confirming address change, this time without any note about background security check (I assumed NC got cleared)
I am not sure if NSC is trying to avoid people calling customer service during this busy period, so a standard response that NC is pending or its genuine?. During the service request I asked about IO about my NC, the officer was polite , but said she does not have any info about it and I need to make an InfoPass to get the required information.
Did anyone had such experience or I need to knock on the doors of senators, congressman ......?.
