Name Check Bill

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago there was a lot of talk about a bill being introduced that would remove name check backlog. I was looking for an update on the subject and found this link that says the bill was passed

Does anyone know whether this is true or not? and if true,then when can we hope to see backlog reduction.
