name check AND Ref

I think now my case could be one of the oldest ones: 02-113-***
submitted in Feb,2002, but I am still waiting :confused: :mad:

No refs, not sure if it is because of name check.

anyone here know the relationship between name check AND Ref?
which one should be first?

It seems to me that Ref can only be issued after your name check is passed,
but it also seems that so many guys here reply the refs,but case is still pending :confused:
 
What do you mean by "ref"? Do you mean RFE?
If you meant RFE, then I can tell you that my spouse got RFE and responded back, then did 2nd FP, and after that it went in this name check stage (???)
I (primary applicant) got approved after 2nd FP without RFE.
