Name Check and Background Check cleared

Hello All,

I called up USCIS about a month back and was informed that my and my spouse's background and name check were both cleared. The representative told me that my petition was with the 'workflow management dept' and it would get approved as soon as it got scheduled and an officer looked at it.

It has been more than a month since then and still no approvals yet. Does it mean that its just sitting there and getting dust? Is there anybody in the same boat?

Also, our FP was for code 2 only. So am wondering if we have to go for another round of code 3 FP before we get approved.

thanks

You can open a service request with USCIS, so that they have to respond with in 45 days stating what is going on with your case?

Even I fall under your case , my case is under review. I am waiting to see decision from them. I opened service request last month, they told me that they are going to give a decision in 60 days, I am just done 15 days since then. I keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for your reply.
Could you tell me how to open a service request? our 485's haven't been pending for more than 6 months yet, 6 months will be completed next month, so can we still file a service request?
Thanks again

I am wondering if the delay is due to this....

Matthew Oh...seems to be saying that EB based petitions are getting delayed!

04/25/2007: Why No Processing Times Updating by USCIS? What is Cooking There!?

The USCIS has been reporting the processing times of immigration benefits applications and petitions quite frequently in the past, never longer than one month. The USCIS has last updated its report on March 15, 2007. Obviously, H-1B processing is so irregular and the agency may not have any correct timeline to show to the public. What about other proceedings? Lately, we see substantial delays in employment-based applications and petitions. Where is Bush's six-month processing times commitment? Or this is unique phenomena in transition to the so-called Phase III Bi-Specialization or electronization? Rumor mills keep running faster and faster. We hope to see the processing time report update as soon as possible.
