Hi,
Does one need to change their name before the green card application through marriage or can I do it after I finish the green card process? I just got married two weeks ago and my husband is a US citizen

You can apply for your green card under your "new" name, and then, depending on your country, you can send a notarized name change form with a copy of yours and his passport and your marriage certificate to your country's closest consulate in the US, so you can get a new passport with that name too

Thanks - but is is possible for me to change my name after I begin the green card process or is it better to do it before the process begins?.
