From the discussions, it seems that even there is a mere name change for the company with the same tax id and successor of interest also, there is a potential problem of denial ( as seen in the cases of Rapidigm and Iormyx) . Is that true. Even, for a simple name change also, are we required to redo 140. Else, if we inform to INS regarding the name change, is that enough. Please discuss and clarify.

Hello,

I work for a company ABC which was acquired by XYZ before I joined. Since ABC kept its name after the acquisition, all my currently document LC and I-140 show ABC as my employer with the line such as "ABC is part of XYZ" in there.

Now XYZ wants to change its name to UVW and also ask ABC to get rid of its name and use the UVW name as well.

Can anyone tell me what is the implication of this for my pending I-140 applcation and I-485 in the future?
