Hi,
My spouse is a GC and gonna apply for here citizenship. In N-400 there is an option for name change. I'm currently under H1B (Valid thro' Oct 08) and would like to know which one of the following options is better:
1. My spouse changing her name in N-400 and waiting for her to get citizenship and then me applying for GC
2. My spouse not changing her name in N-400 and I apply for GC right now and after she gets her citizenship I'd apply for change of status, then proceeding with name change
So, if she applies for her name change along with N-400 and I apply for my GC right now and then trying to do change of status after she gets her citizenship, would that be a problem or showing certificate of naturalization with new name would take care of it?
I am confused on this. I'd greatly appreciate if someone could shed some light into this.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
JR
