I just got married and I am a Green card holder, I have my interview for Citizenship end of March.

I was wondering if I should change my last name to my husbands now with I-90 or if I can wait till the interview date and have option to change it then and have the new last name on the Citizenship certificate??

Does anyone have any info on this? I dont want to pay the I-90 fee for the change if I will no longer need the Green card after my citizenship interview.

Please wait until you are done with your citizenship interview. Unless you want to wait about a year for your new GC with your new last name to arrive that's a different story. Get your citizenship interview first & then worry about changing your last name.

Maybe it can be done at the interview, so the new name would end up on the natz certificate. Is that true - anyone care to comment?

Anyway, you will have to update them about your marriage at the interview.

Changing your name during but outside of the N-400 process can result in substantial delays, including having to redo your name check.

If all you are changing is your last name (nothing else) then you can do that during interview, at no cost. Take your marriage certificate and IOs are allowed to issue the cert with new last name (first/middle name same) and still give you same day oath (Administrative oath) if your DO has same day oath. This causes no delay and no cost to you.

Any other change (first or middle name change/spelling corretions etc) would warrant judicial oath, which can delay oath by a lot. In our case in Atlanta DO, it took about 10 months for oath after interview (Compared to same day oath without name change)

You are right that you do not need GC after oath. Infact they take it away from you during oath.
