Hi there,
My wife passed her naturalization interview today in Garden City, NY. She was asked about 10 questions related to history and politics of US. Here is the application timeline:
N400 applied: May 13,2007
Receipt Date: May 17, 2007
Fingerprint: June 14,2007
Interview Notice: November 30,2007
Interview Date: January 17, 2008
Scheduled Oath ceremony: January 31, 2008
Unfortunately, her name on the notice for oath does not match either her GC (premarital name) or her new married legal name. USCIS said nothing can be done about it now and we will have to wait till the oath ceremony after which name-change affidavit will have to be made in court. I am not sure about the process. Any advice will be appreciated.
Can she get the passport with the new name based on marriage certificate, SS card, DL etc?
Thanks
Ritesh
