Hi,
When I entered the U.S. for the first time my first/last name got reversed somehow and so all of my U.S. records carry that incorrect name including the SSN. However, my passport has the correct name and so on the lawyer's recommended I applied my I-485 with the corrected name as in the passport. Now, if my I-485 gets approved (??? no clue when that'll happen but just being positive here - right now stuck in name check) then I know I should start correcting my name in the U.S. records but I am not sure where should I start. Should I start with the SSN...how difficult is it to change this. Has anyone been in a similar situation before, if so what was the order you followed.
Thanks very much.
