Hello All:
Need your inputs.
I'm done with N400 interview.
Officer hv included my middlename based on my Birth certificate in my N400 apps.
So, I hv first, middle, last name that will appear in my nat certificate.
When applying for my US passport, can i go with first and last name, dropping middle name or should I include middle name too.
But in my Indian passport, I hv first and last name, no middle name.
Pls advise best option in above scenario. I need this info for OCI processing
Help is appreciated.
Regards

It would be best to keep the names on the US Passport same as what you have on the Nat. Certificate (as you are using the Nat. Certificate as basis of getting the Passport). Going this route, you will face less resistance when you apply for OCI with the Indian Consulate, as your US passport and Nat. Certificate will match.

When applying for Consular services/OCI etc with Travisa Outsourcing , they may view your request as a 'Name change' since your Indian Passport and US Passports are now different (lack of middlename in Indian Passport.), and have you provide additional documentation, advt in paper etc

my 2 cents ....
