Name change before appling for Green card

Hello,

I have a question how to do name changing for my wife before we apply for Green card

Actually I am GC holder and my Wife is on L1B while we got married. And now I have applied for US citizenship through Naturalisation and got interview date letter. So in short I will become a US Citizen. Later I like to apply for my wife for Green Card.

So my question is How can we change her Last name to My last name
Do you think thats easy to do this while applying for GC
We have our marriage certification from India as we got married in India. And now she is with me.
What form do i need to fill for this change

Please help me with your valuable advises

My wife went through this (even though she was the USC).
In order:

- Go to the Social Security Administration with your marriage certificate (make sure it's in English or have a certified translation) and change her name with Social Security (get a new card also).
- Go to DMV with the marriage certificate and get a new driver's license
- I don't know about Indian laws, but I suppose have her go to the Indian Consulate with the marriage certificate and get a new passport with her new last name (or an amendment?). My wife went to the US passport center and got a brand new US passport. Actually, it's a good chance to get a passport with the new biometric technology (if India offers this type, no info on this).

Then, also important, change her last name on all bills, insurances, mortgages, leases, credit cards, etc etc

I would say, go to the DMV and get a new drivers license first. That will help everything, then go to the SSA (social security administration).
