I am posting to this forum after a long time. We got our green cards in June 04. My wife was using a maiden name at that point & we didn't want to change it during the process. Now her passport is expiring & she she wants to renew it with married name & then change name on green card & other documents.
When we went for stamping the lady at the counter asked her if she wants to use her married name on GC we said yes but then she asked for original marriage certificate & we didn't have it at that time.
How difficult is it to change name on the green card ? Guys any idea ?
