I received my son's Oath letter today. It's scheduled for March 8th at Newark, NJ.

It's finally coming to an end.

:)

Hi

What's the procedure? Do you need to go for oath for your son along with your son?

I applied N600 for my daughter (10 yrs old), I am curious about the procedure.

Does the Certificate would be sent to us by mail? Or Do we need to go for oath/interview along with the kid?

My family planning the visit to India during the summer, so I am curious and concerned about the procedure..

Thanks,
SRK

My 10 years old got it by mail only 6 month after we applied. There were no Oath. I don't know what should I do with her GC.

Hi dandan123,

Please do come back to tell us how that oath/interview goes. I am still waiting to hear anything, but San Jose office is one of the slowest in the country :(

z350, now that you ask, I think the GC should be returned to USCIS. If you hadn't asked you could perhaps have kept it as a memento. However, I don't recall any bad consequence if you don't find a good way to return it to USCIS and keep it with you.

Z350,

I believe GC should be returned to USCIS.

What happens if we are out of station(went for vacation) when certificate comes by mail?

Suppose if we put the hold on mail, can USPS holds this certificate till we comes back or they sent it back to USCIS??

Guys, any one has any experience with this type of situation? Please share.

Thanks,
SRK

What's interesting that my kid got cert of Citizenship while wife got cert of Naturalization. Envelope with cert won't be handed to you unless you sign. We were lucky in came on Jan 2nd when we were home.
