Hello Gurus,

A few questions for you -

1. Marital status - If divorce proceedings are in progress, but divorce has not yet happened then will your status be still married ?

2. Part 6 A - there is an existing line that says - "Current Home Address - Same as Part 4.A" From is -" blank" and TO has word "Present" in it..
If you address has been same in last five years, should you just put date in From column ?
OR
Do you have to fill out the address again the next line.

3. Selective service - I understand that on F1 visa (non-immigrant visa) you dont have to register for selective service. So the answer to that is NO.. However, do we still need to send any copies of your I20 with the initial application? OR do you keep them ready for later time if asked ?

4. Part 11 - Signature.
It says sign - your full name without abbreviating it ?
What does this mean ? You need to sign differently than you currently do,( if you don't spell out your name completely) ?

5. Middle initial in the name
I have it on my green card.. other places I use it sometimes and sometimes I dont..
In the application we need to mention middle initial ?

Thanks gurus for your answers to above quetions..

1. You should put Married. You will have a opportunity to update that if the divorce is finalized on the date of interview.
2. If you are at the same address from last 5 years put from date and it already says present in the next column. No need to go on the bottom column.
3. No need to send copy of I-20 all of that info is already a part of your A-File and rest of the forms you filed when you got the GC, and will be at in front of the DAO if he/she wishes to verify your student status between the ages of 18-26.
4. They just want you to sign your name legibly. You can also sign your normal signature. At the time of interview the officer will ask you to sign the last part of N-400 legibly at that time while he witnesses your signature.
5. You put the exact same name that's on the GC on application, now if you want you can legally change your name at Naturalization so if you want to take the middle name out you can just go ahead and check that you wish to change your name.
