N400 Stuck in FBI name back in LA

Here is my timeline after I filed in January 2007. Called and made info passp appt and was told pending due to FBI background check! Anybody has the same experience??

1/30/07 Priority Date
2/16/07 Fingerprints
9/24/07 Info Pass Appt ~ Still pending due to FBI background check

The officer told me to wait another 60 days to schedule another appointment to find out the status. WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG FOR THIS NAME CHECK :mad:
 
Getting stuck in name check is one of the more typical snag that people hit in the naturalization process. There is plenty of information in the board about name check. I don't think being back in Los Angeles does any difference ;) Now, a quick summary is that some people go through a progression, first they might want to wait for the name check to clear by itself, if it doesn't then get in touch with politicians, sue USCIS and other strategies. As I said there is plenty of information already written in this forum about name checks.

I have the same time marks as you do:

1/30/07 PD
2/16/07 FP
9/25/07 had infopass where I was told name check pending with FBI since 02/20/07.

I filed with California Service Center, and my local office is in Tucson, AZ.

I guess we are in the same boat! Just called USCIS and was told to wait another 45 days in order to be outside their normal processing time. 30, 45, 60 days... nothing but wait!
