Hi

N 400 form
In question# A (Part 6) - Information about your residence and employment
--
Do we need to specify dates as mm/dd/yyyy (ie with 'date of the month' included as well.. eg 04/14/2006' instead of just sayin 04/2006)

If we need to specify the exact date of the month as well, I have a few days gap between two addresses (when I was in a hotel for 2 weeks). How do I take care of that?

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

1. Make the best effort to guess day(dd) in mm/dd/yyyy. Unless you are absurdly off from the real date or are intentionally trying to mislead, it should
be fine. I would imagine mm/yyyy should be satisfactory as well, but I would
try to stick to mm/dd/yyyy using best guess.

2. If you were staying in hotel for couple of weeks, try to have those dates
lumped in your prior or next permanant address. (Its not much different than
someone taking 2 weeks off and staying in hotel. Its still temporary
arrangement and you haven't established hotel as your residence)

Hi there!

When I filed my N-400 in January 2006, it also asked mm/dd/yyyy. I just listed mm/yyyy. I do not think it will bite me in the rear end.

Cheers!
