Does anyone know the N400 processing times in Detroit, MI.

Timeline -

N400 Rec date - May 28, 2002

FP - Sep 4th, 2002.


Interview - ???

N-400 Rec Date: May 16, 2002
FP Date: Sep 5, 2003

Still haven't heard anything back. My understanding is that the local office schedules the interview.
 
I heard the new time line for N400 in Detroit is 16 Months. But even that time is not a drop deadline. I know of some other individuals in the same status.
 
My timeline for Detroit

Applied: 4/4/2002
Fingerprinted: 8/27/2002
Fingerprinted again (first one did not go through): 9/10/2002
Called Nebraska Service Center to get status update: 4/16/2003
Interview Letter Recieved: 4/21/2002
Interview Date: 7/11/2002

So it appears that by calling the Nebraska service center expedited everything. I would recommend you do the same, especially if it has been almost a year since your filing date.

I also received my interiview letter on April 22.

My Interivew is on 7/31/2003.

It seems that INS Nebraska has processed a bunch of cases recently, one of my friends with the same time line as I also got interview letter.

Timeline for Detroit

My priority date is May 23, 2002.

I received a letter yesterday (6/14) for the interview sheduled on August 14, 2003.
