N400 priority date question

This is my first post. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

My lawyer made a mistake (very frustrating) and sent in the N400 a few days early before the 90 day window. We realized soon after, but by then it was too late. We were hoping that the USCIS would reject and send back, but they cashed the check.

Today I got the receipt and the receipt date is 2/18, which is later than the date the Fedex was received and within the 90 day window.

What does that mean? Does that mean they delayed the application for a few days so I was in compliance? Should I withdraw my application and reapply?

Thanks for your help,

I would use "priority date" rather than the date the application packet was sent to determine the 90-day requirement. As soon as you get the receipt notice from the USCIS, make an infopass to talk to an IO for clarification.

Just in case you still filed too early, ask your attorney to pay for the filing fee of $675 for next filing.
